There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later. I am sure you are going to love this phone. I first bought this phone overseas since Zenfone3 Deluxe was launched overseas back in late August, and was only available in US from Oct.

Anyway i bought another phone for my co-works B-day. Since he has being hassling me to get this overseas for him and it's actually priced more competitively in US. The inner beauty of the phone comes form it's Super AMOLED, it's not new for a phone, Samsung first introduced this, and I think this is still a Samsung technology, the factory calibrated colors were set default to make it's color super vivid.

The user interface - the phone came reasonably clean, although there were some softwares came with it that was not intuitive at all. Allo is embedded with Google assist you will have fun texting Google on anything.

It's a very nice thought. Unlocking it by tapping your fingers at the back of the phone is very responsive and immediate. Performance - this is the area i love the most, no matter how many screens i opened, how many sub-tab i open in chrome, it's lighting fast, no lags at all.

This is for sure the fastest phone i have every had, the 6G RAM for sure helped a lot, i checked my memory usage it's constantly at the 3GB consumption mark and it's ultra fast.

You will know what i am saying when you start using it. Connection - I use T-mobile, the reception needs an improvement in some areas. The camera also came with a nice feature call child mode, so it auto detects kids face when taking photos, so you don't have to take 10 shots to just find 1 good ones.

Lastly, the audio quality, both the speakers and the headset bundled were very nice, speakers are much louder than my preivous iphone, but its only the volume, it cracks a bit when you go full volume, recommend you not to do that.

Overall, a phone i would recommend at the price tag that is cheaper than the newly release pixel and iphone. It's affordable and its for sure a premium flagship phone.

Comment people found this helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Excellent specs but I'm waiting for the special edition gb version. Comment 7 people found this helpful. What's the point of all that hardware and having a Deluxe version if you're just going to make it p?

Thanks for the waste of hype. Comment 3 people found this helpful. I thought I was going to love this phone because the big 6. I wanted a single device that could handle all my mobile needs, and the 6.

Although the screen itself is gorgeous, and the sound quality is far, far better than it was on my old Samsung Galaxy S5 phone, but there are so many other problems that I often regret ever buying this thing.

First off, when I first turned the phone on, I could hardly read the screen it was so dark. I soon found out the default screen setting was set to an automatic adaptive lighting mode that was supposed to sense the ambient light and adjust the screen brightness accordingly.

But in my opinion it was more of an "extreme battery saving mode" than anything because, no matter where I was - outside, inside, or in a dimly lit restaurant - I found the screen to be way too dark for me to comfortably see anything, text or video.

Once I turned the automatic brightness mode off I was able to to manually raise the brightness to an adequate level but - that was when I found out how fast you can suck the life out of the battery.

I wound up buying a HUGE external recharging unit that can recharge the battery 3 or 4 times before exhausting it. If not for this external battery I would often wind up with a dead phone in as little as 4 hours.

Another thing - the ZenUI apps are buggy as hell. Any time I let an incoming call go to voicemail I couldn't listen to it because I'd get a message saying "unfortunately Contacts has stopped working".

I researched the issue online and tried all the recommended fixes, but nothing worked. I finally had to go to the Google Play Store and download a free Voicemail app that works perfectly. For instance, on the S5 I could go to the Gallery app to view photos, and have easy access to editing features such as re-sizing a photo to something smaller before attaching them to emails.

Well, photo editing features on the ZenFone version of the Gallery app seem to have been omitted. Then there's the Mail app. But again ZenFone3 seems to have omitted this convenient feature.

I finally had to download and install the free Toolwiz app, but even though it is a very fine app that offers a wide range of photo editing features, the fact that I have to use it at all is extremely inconvenient because it's an extra step when all I want to do is resize a picture.

I don't understand how 2 phones can both claim to be using the same version of Android when the ZenFone 3 versions of standard apps are so inferior. And now comes the biggest aggravation.

I will often be sitting in a restaurant or bookstore or airport or any other public place, quietly streaming a video from the Internet - and suddenly lose the connection. And no, I'm not talking about while using WiFi.

I've often tried rebooting Android, but that rarely seems to restore the signal. More often than not, 3G or 4G service mysteriously re-appears 5 or 10 minutes later.

I suspect that there is either a firmware bug in the communications chip, or the chip is overheating and stops working until it cools down again. As I said in the beginning of this review, I really wanted to love this phone, but I find it to be so buggy, annoying and unreliable that I find myself carrying my old S5 with me in case I suddenly need to pull the nano-SIM card from the ZenFone, place it into a standard SIM adapter yet another time consuming annoyance and insert it back into the S5 to restore my 4G signal.

In short, the screen is great, the sound is great, and the camera, autofocus, and video recording features are great. But the phone has so many other problems that I can't really recommend it.

Comment 10 people found this helpful. Phone Ony Verified Purchase. Was very happy with this phone, until I found out that the QuickCharge 3. To me, this is false advertising at best.
