Every phone is different, some phones even have automatic gain control on the microphones and noise cancelling which will change the results markedly. Even if you did manage to calibrate it by some magic, there is also the problem of different sensitivity patterns and reflections from walls in your room etc.

A rare combo, especially when reviewing Chinese stuff. They will pair but not be usable. Either upgrade to Windows 8. Lights should flash red-blue when in pairing mode.
Have you been asked for a passkey? Correct pairing should result in red-blue changing to just blue flashes. If in doubt, remove any existing pairings and try again with a different pass-key usually or I have no problem to connect it with PC.
